WHATSAPP No Longer Available for iOS 10 and iOS 11

WhatsApp is reportedly going to stop providing its services for iOS 10 and 11. A new notification discovered by WABetaInfo asks iPhone users to install the latest version of Apple's mobile operating system (iOS) supported by their device in order to continue using the app.

The WhatsApp service will no longer be available from October 24, 2022 for iOS 10 and 11. A support article from WhatsApp notes that the company recommends iOS 12 as the most basic system for iPhone owners.

This means that if you're still using your iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, or iPhone 6s, you can still continue to use WhatsApp on your device, but iPhone 5 and 5c owners seem to need to upgrade to new hardware in order to continue using WhatsApp.

Since the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5c are nearly a decade old today, it's unlikely the move won't affect too many people. However, millions of people around the world depend on WhatsApp to communicate with their friends and family. And surely there are still some iPhone 5 and iPhone 5c owners.

Although WhatsApp will eventually discontinue support for this type of phone, in a few weeks Apple will host WWDC 2022, where the company will announce iOS 16. Unfortunately, rumors have it that this operating system will not work on the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, and iPhone SE. first.
